You’ve been warned – shameless plugging is ahead!
If you’re looking for something to do this weekend, I will be ghost tour guiding for the Pensacola Historical Society (PHS) on Friday (6:00 & 7:30) and Saturday (7:30 & 9:30) night. You can get more information at the PHS website: pensacolahistory.org I will be sticking to the Red Light tours this time, and yes, up until 1941 Pensacola had a well defined bar/brothel district. No costuming for the summer months, so the belly gear will have to come out for the October tours. And with all the cool stuff I got from Joyce at her workshops, I will have some cool new gear to show off. (Joyce if you're reading this, I still love, love, LOVE my pink hip scarf!)
New stories have been added, too! This means by the time I'm through telling the stories and including other tour guides' experiences along with my own, the tour should last about an hour and a half. Let’s just say after helping research new stories for the October tours, I’m very thankful I did not live in Pensacola a century ago. Yellow fever, fires, murders, shanghaieds, madness, and mayhem. Yep, Pensacola was a happening place at one time.
Ok, the shameless plugging has ended and you can go back to your regular broadcast.

Hmm, it sounds like things haven't changed much in Pcola over the years, other than the yellow fever part I mean. You will do another great job tour guiding!
See ya soon, Monkey herder girl.
